1977 XS 650D #3
This is a very clean 11,122 mile bike with a fresh 7 coat epoxy/hardened primer surfacer/Maxi Maroon base color with 4 coats of clear urethane. The graphics are aftermarket reproductions. The frame and details have been repainted so the bike looks sharp on close examination, like brake and clutch mounts, instrument cups, chain guard, etc. Seat is beautifully re-upholstered based on the original pattern and contour. This bike has been lowered 1” front and rear for a speedway look and better control for the inseam challenged. 160 lbs of compression on both cylinders. I will make more of these if there is interest. I like the look and the handling. Front tire is new; rear has lots of tread remaining. The OEM mufflers are starting to show some age bloating near the outlets, but they are presentable still and should be good for a few years yet. I like the Dunstall reverse cone replicas as replacements when the time comes, but for now they are fine. Price is $4,200.
